Story & heritage
The Slim Fit version keeps the MA-1 family close to its flight-jacket origin while making the cut more contemporary. Alpha’s official page says it is inspired by jackets worn by U.S. Air Force and Navy pilots in the 1950s.
Its role in the icon set is the modern everyday MA-1: the same flight-nylon language, orange lining and sleeve utility pocket, but with less volume through the body.
Materials & craft
The official specs list a 100% flight nylon shell, 100% nylon lining and 100% polyester fill. Alpha also lists water resistance, reversible construction, two lower flap pockets, two interior welt pockets, sleeve shirring and knit rib trim.
How to choose & style
Use the Slim Fit MA-1 when the heritage bomber needs to sit under an overcoat or pair with narrower trousers. It works best as a clean outer layer over tees, sweatshirts and light knits without the bulk of the core fit.
