Expérimentale 1
Breguet's new exploratory line begins with a high-frequency tourbillon and magnetic escapement in Breguet gold.
Story & heritage
Expérimentale 1 is the first chapter in Breguet's exploratory R&D line, a collection built to carry the manufacture's latest research and development into finished haute horlogerie.
The inaugural watch combines a tourbillon, constant-force escapement and controlled magnetism, earning Breguet hallmark certification in the Scientific category and positioning the line as the maison's forward-looking laboratory.
Materials & craft
The E001BH/S9/5ZV is crafted in 18K Breguet gold with a 43.5 mm case, blue lacquer-varnish ringed dial, Breguet full-apple hands and rubber strap. Manual calibre 7250 uses a 10 Hz high-frequency tourbillon with magnetic escapement, a 72-hour power reserve and 266 components.
How to choose & style
Expérimentale 1 is not the quiet dress-watch Breguet. It is a halo piece for someone drawn to the brand's invention story: best worn as a technical statement, with the rubber strap and blue dial making it feel more contemporary than ceremonial.
